Energetic Properties of Metals
All things are made of energy. Our breath, bodies, the earth, and even the metals that surround us.
The energetic properties of metals can be found in a variety of traditions, Egyptian, Greek, magical traditions both eastern and western, Wiccan, Pagan, Hermetic and in Alchemy and many more. It is a massive subject so I will only include the metals I use in the Orgonite I make those being Copper, Iron and Brass (which is an alloy of Copper and Zinc)
It is important for me to use metals that represent us as human beings and also, in turn, represent the planet. The sacred geometry involved in the pyramid of Giza is a scaled representation of the earth, the moon, and our own human bodies.
Copper is a mineral that is found throughout the body. It helps your bodymake red blood cells and keeps nerve cells and your immune system healthy. It also helps form collagen, a key part of bones and connective tissue
Copper is considered to be the first metal used by mankind showing up in Sumerian and Egyptian metallurgy circa 3900 BC
Copper is such a wonderful physical conductor of electricity and heat; it is also considered the conductor of the spiritualist’s belief system. According to myths, copper has the ability to conduct spiritual energy back and forth between individuals, crystals, auras, the mind and the spirit world.
Iron is found in our body’s red blood cells of your blood called haemoglobin and in muscle cells called myoglobin. Haemoglobin is essential for transferring oxygen in your blood from the lungs to the tissues. Myoglobin, in muscle cells, accepts, stores, transports and releases oxygen.
Iron is the only magnetic metal in its pure form all other magnetic metals are iron alloys like steel.
Iron is the heart of the Earth but also, the heart of the universe itself. It is both terrestrial and stellar; as above, so below. Therefore, you can use iron as a grounding tool for earthbound work and at the same time, as a universal tool for other work. Iron is the metal of choice for out of body experiences and shamanic travel as it opens up the connections between this world, and the others.
Zinc is found in cells throughout the body. It is needed for the body’sdefensive (immune) system to properly work. It plays a role in cell division, cell growth, wound healing, and the breakdown of carbohydrates. Zinc is also needed for the senses of smell and taste
Zinc is the metal of magical revelation. It appears innocent and ordinary in its physical state, but on the other levels zinc is an extraordinary event with powerful transformational properties. One of the most fascinating metals to work with due to its energy.
Brass has protective attributes. It is used for its defensive properties it is an alloy of copper and zinc and can be used to draw away negative energy and transform its vibration.
Brass has been also used as a substitute for gold in rituals because of this it also associated with the sun. It brings out natural good and inner truth.
Brass jewellery is traditionally associated with protection.
